The City of Williamsport Cultural Re-grant
program has implemented an appeals
process to ensure that organizations are given complete and fair
consideration in
the competitive funding review process.
The appeals process enables applicants to
identify errors and omissions in the
application review process. The applicant must demonstrate that
information
was misrepresented or improperly reviewed through no fault of
the applicant.
Appeals are awarded only if the error or omission has a substantial
effect on the
recommendation of the advisory panel. Dissatisfaction with the
denial of an
award, or with the amount of the award, is not sufficient reason
for an appeal.
If your organization questions a decision
based upon the above criteria, you may
contact the City of Williamsport or the Williamsport-Lycoming
Arts Council to
receive the comments of the application review panel concerning
your request.
Appeals must be made in writing to both the City of Williamsport
and the
President of the Williamsport-Lycoming Arts Council within 10
days of the written
notification of the funding decision. An appeals panel will review
all appeals. If
an appeal is upheld, the City will re-evaluate the application,
and funds will be
awarded only if they are available
